Seriously any writer could be next at this point. And the fact that people are getting shitcanned left and right with no notice in comparison to a few years ago where writers would make a farewell post. We are witnessing one hell of a dumpster fire. I wish R&T had a comment system... I see myself going there more and more. And Travis is there, so there’s at least one name I know... Not a fan of TheDrive yet, but things could improve in the near future if Jalopnik/Gawker keeps on firing people.

Also I think that now, if we except Kat who doesn’t really work at Jalopnik right now, they ONLY have NY based people in their staff no? Or is Stef based in Texas? If so, my guess would be that she’s next...

Stef and Alanis are in Texas, APC is in LA, Torch is on the central east coast (one of the Carolinas I think), David is in Detroit, and I don’t think Justin is in NY.

That might be true, but he worked for FCA, which I think is safe to say has possibly the worst reputation in the automotive world when it comes to quality, engineering skills, and reliability.

Shit, when it comes to their engineering skills they have been using leftover Mercedes platforms for years. The 300/Charger/Challenger is based off an E Class platform which is two or three cycles old at this point. The Grand Cherokee is based off a two or three cycle old ML platform. And I’m blanking at the moment but the Dodge Journey and associated products was based off something else too. And now they’re using Fiat platforms.

Even with those platforms (the Mercedes ones), they still can’t build competent products.

Yeah, it would suck. But I see them getting rid of the part-time help and forcing senior people to take the weekend every once in a while. When you think about it, it makes a little more sense to run on a rotation. But, it would suck to have someone else fired. But at this point we shouldn’t be surprised by anything.
